For most of 2025, Detzner's "Corporate Sacrilege" series of paintings generated considerable attention from national and international media. As part of an exhibit at the Chicago Athenaeum Museum, "The Last Pancake Breakfast" sparked much controversy. The museum received hundreds of angry phone calls, as well as a petition started by a local church, asking that the painting be removed.
